'telos no.5' - Recycled silver and sapphire ring

Telos is the final cause; the reason something exists or the ultimate fulfillment of its potential. It implies surrendering control while still moving toward an ultimate purpose and trusting that everything will unfold as it should.

I have a very large gemstone collection with so many beautiful and unusual stones, some that have been sat in purgatory for 16 years. It is time to release the stones into the world in their final jewellery form.

This ring features a selection of included blue sapphires. These sapphires have a little wonk to them. Not fully opaque but not dazzle sparkle shine WOW. They've each got their own thing going on and need direct light to fully pop. Maybe an inclusion or two, perhaps slightly darker than 'commercially acceptable' or a bit of a fog. Yet beautiful and endearing in their own right. All these sapphires came to me over the last 15 years, cast aside as wrong un's and condemned to the 'not the worst, but not the best' sapphire pot. Each are set in bezel settings.The band has an oscillating, organic edge with a deep inner bevel making it comfy to wear and easy to get on and off when needed. The width decreases at the back for even extra comfort.
