Ever fancied trying your hand at making a silver ring? From my studio workshop in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, I'll equip you with all the skills, materials and tools needed to create a bobby dazzler. Beginner friendly, you need never have wielded a hammer or blow torch in your life to take home your own handcrafted ring made from recycled silver.
You'll be creating an entirely bespoke ring made just how you want it : To your personal ring size, preferred width and with your own selected hammered texture and finish.
To keep a relaxed, easy atmosphere and make sure you get all the support you need, these workshops are limited to 3 people. Workshops last approx 4 hours and include a wee break.
You must be 16+ years old to undertake this workshop.

What will I learn? |
- How to make a ring! Hammering, sawing and soldering in the main, with a little bit of filing and finishing thrown in for good measure. We'll be using a mix of power and hand tools.
What's included? |
- Everything! From tools to recycled silver, I've got you covered. I'll even make you a cuppa and throw in a biscuit or 3.
Do I need to bring anything? |
- If you need glasses for close up things, bring em! A hair tie if you have long locks and closed shoes to avoid any toe breaking accidents. The studio is a mucky and semi-perilous environment, so please dress in appropriate and comfortable clothing. If you have a scabby work apron or similar, feel free to bring it along.
